Join Gary Harris on a Full Day Custom Landscape Photography Workshop. Learn the basic techniques on how to use your DSLR Camera for creating beautiful Fine Art Landscapes, Shooting in Manual Mode, Shooting in RAW Format, Best Aperture Settings for Landscapes, Why Longer Shutter Speeds Create More Dramatic Images in Landscape Photography, Why Using the Lowest ISO Setting is Essential, Why You Need a Polarizing Filter, Using a Cable Release & Tripod, Basic Landscape Composition for Creating Powerful Images, Why We Use a Wide Angle Lens, Shooting in Dramatic Light, Basic Retouching with Lightroom 5, and much more!


It’s your Workshop, so you choose the location, giving you the opportunity to shoot what you like. Gary has provided 5 amazing locations for you to choose from. All Workshops start roughly 6 hours before sunset and run till just after dark, giving you an opportunity to shoot a sunset scene, and shoot during the “Golden Hours”. You also choose the day for your Workshop, based on availability.

Custom Workshop Cost: $100.00

Don’t have your own camera? Would like to learn the basics before spending money on an expensive camera, lenses and accessories? That’s OK! Gary will provide all the necessary equipment. You will use a Nikon D3100 Digital Camera w/ Memory Card, 18-55mm & 55-200mm lenses, Polarizing Filter, Cable Release & Tripod. Plus, as a gift, you get to keep the Memory Card with all the pictures you created!

Custom Workshop Cost W/ Equipment: $160.00


Custom Workshop Locations:

  1. Minnehaha Park – Shoot Minnehaha Falls, Surrounding Streams and Park Scenes.
  2. Stone Arch Bridge – Shoot the Stone Arch Bridge & Minneapolis Skyline, Mississippi River, and Surrounding Area.
  3. Osceola Falls – Shoot Osceola Falls, Surrounding Streams, and The St. Croix River.
  4. Stillwater, Mn. – Shoot the famous Stillwater Lift Bridge and the St. Croix River, The Marina, and Downtown Stillwater.
  5. Interstate Park – Shoot the St. Croix River & Bluffs, Lake O’ the Dalles, the Riverboat, and Throughout the Park

  • DSLR Camerakz

  • Tele-Photo Lens
  • Sturdy Tripod
  • Cable Release
  • Polarizing Filter
  • Neutral Density Filter (preferably 10 stop)
  • Extra Shoes for Wading into Streams
  • Laptop with processing software (preferably with at least Lightroom 5 & Photoshop Elements 11)

Call, E-Mail me or just use the Contact Page to start the process. Please include what Workshop your interested in, with the location and day and your contact information, and I’ll get back to you ASAP to schedule the Workshop. To complete the process, I’ll send you an E-Mail Invoice payable through Pay-Pal. Once I receive payment confirmation (usually within minutes of your payment), I’ll get back to you, letting you know payment was processed. The Workshop is set, and I’ll see you at set time & location.
